FUNCTION ROOMS
Mowsbury is
the ideal venue for all your functions – Wedding Receptions, Christenings,
Birthday Parties, Conferences, Wakes, Meetings or any get together. The
spacious, newly refurbished Function Room can accommodate up to 90 people
seated or 120 people for an informal function such as a buffet.
All catering
options can be provided from a simple finger buffet to 5 course meals. Menus
can be individually arranged to suit your particular needs. The friendly and
efficient staff will ensure that you receive individual attention so that
your guests have a relaxing and memorable occasion.

Trophy Room
The Trophy
Room is located to the side of the Lounge Bar area and overlooks the golf
course. Rectangular in shape and measuring approximately 7m x 3.5m, the
Trophy Room is best suited for smaller meetings. It can comfortably
accommodate up to 15 persons. The room is carpeted and can be laid out in
the best way to suit your requirements. It can also be useful as a
'break-away’ or dining room for larger groups using the main Function Room.
Main Function Room
The Function
Room is rectangular in shape, measuring approximately 11m x 7m, with an
adjoining alcove of approximately 3.5m x 3.5m providing convenient access to
the bar and to the toilet facilities.
The room can
accommodate up to 120 persons, although if seating is required for all
guests when dining we recommend a limit of 90, depending on the layout of
the tables in the room.

CATERING
Quality
catering options can be provided for any function, from breakfast rolls for
meetings, finger buffets to formal dinners of multiple courses. A copy of
our buffet menu can be sent out on request, with prices listed per person.
Prices for other requirements are dealt with on an individual basis,
depending of course on your specific requirements. Please contact us for
further information or a quotation.
Please be
aware that we do not permit any outside catering and all food must be
provided by ourselves, with the exception of birthday/wedding cakes etc.
Opening Hours
The Bar is
fully licensed from 11am to 11pm, Monday to Saturday and from 12pm to
10.30pm on Sundays. An extension to these hours can be arranged (subject to
licensing approval) for a fee of £10 (this is a direct charge from the
magistrate court and we make no charge ourselves).
Corkage
A corkage
service may be provided by prior arrangement for still or sparkling wine at
a charge of *(price on application) for sparkling wine or champagne, per
75cl bottle. For your information, approximately 6 small or 4.5 standard
sized glasses can be obtained from a 75cl bottle. Corkage on any other
products is not available.
Arrival
drinks/wine

Should you
wish to provide drinks for your guests, we are happy to serve a
pre-arranged drink for each guest as they arrive (such as bucks fizz,
sherry or Pimms for a wedding reception). Similarly, wine can be
ordered in advance and we will serve it as needed. Please note that even
with pre-ordered drinks, you of course only pay for what is used.
Alternatively, some clients have chosen to allocate a sum of money to
provide a “free bar” for their guests for a time period.
Please note
that other than the exceptions mentioned under corkage, no drinks (alcoholic
or not) may be consumed that have not been purchased from ourselves.
It is illegal
and against the terms of our license for persons under the age of eighteen
to purchase or consume alcohol on our premises. This is still the case at
private parties or with meals. We would suggest that any guests of a
youthful appearance bring sufficient identification to demonstrate that they
are over 18. We would appreciate your help in conveying this information to
your guests.
Our Public
Entertainment License permits us to host discos or singers/bands until 12am
(10.30pm on Sundays). We would be happy to put you in touch with a disco
that we have used regularly or you can arrange your own. As a guide, we
have found that fees for discos start at around £200 for an evening.
CORPORATE DAYS
The layout and
shape of our function room lends itself favourably to hosting business
functions in a quiet and private environment. Seminars, conferences,
management meetings, presentations and customer invitation days are welcomed
and packages can be tailored for all events to your individual
requirements. Depending on the room layout, up to 80 people can be
accommodated. There is ample power supply for any equipment you may
require. We are happy to provide projectors or screens but will require
suitable notice. A telephone line can be made available if needed although
we regret that Internet access is not possible.
Morning and
afternoon refreshments together with quality lunches or evening meals can be
provided to suit your requirements. Please contact us for a quotation.
BOOKINGS
In order to
make and confirm any provisional booking, please complete the form overleaf
and return it to us along with the relevant amount of room hire, which is
taken as a deposit. Please note that your booking is note confirmed or
accepted without this payment and is non-returnable in the event of a
cancellation by yourselves. (Please make cheques payable to: T+ L Caterers

Prices/Charges
on enquiry
With the
exception of the room hire/deposit, any payment owing must be paid on or
before the date of your function, please make this known to us prior to the
event. All cheques should be made payable to “T & L Caterers Ltd” and should
be supported by a guarantee card. Please be aware that it is not possible
to pay by credit card.

The client
is fully responsible for any loss or damage caused to the facility,
ordinary wear and tear allowing, by themselves or their guests, however
caused.

Mowsbury
Golf and Squash Complex, DSD Leisure and Bedford Borough Council accept
no responsibility for loss, injury or damage to the person or property
of any guest, however caused.

In the
event of a cancellation by ourselves, the client shall be entitled to a
full refund of any monies paid but we have no further liability.

In the
event of a cancellation by the client, any deposit paid will be
forfeited.

We remind
you that all licensing laws must be adhered to with regard to alcohol
and entertainment and also that no food or drink may be brought onto the
premises.
BAR/CATERING
You are sure
of a warm welcome in the spacious and comfortably furnished fully licensed
lounge bar, which provides an ideal relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a drink
after your game of golf or squash. The lounge, with its balcony over looking
the course, offers an extensive choice of hot and cold drinks including
award-winning beers. Extensive ranges of fresh quality meals and bar snacks
are available. Why not try our guest beer!
